Game of Thrones Season 6 has already created a buzz in the entire world. Everyone is curiously waiting for Game of Thrones Season 6 which will be premiered on 24th April. HBO is starting to release a few tasty chunks to the public. For an instance, on Monday, we got the behind the scene footage that showed the entire crew of Game of Thrones filming the Season 6. We also had some small teasers which involved Bran, with a voiceover from Max von Sydow’s Three-Eyed Raven, and we were also surprised with a small tour of the Hall of Many Faces that was quite astonishing and surprising to all the fans and we also noticed some of the Season 6 posters too.

Usually around this time, everyone expect to receive the advance copy of some of the episodes of the upcoming season of Game of Thrones. Like a responsible media personnel, we privately view the videos and then write the reviews and post on the night of their release. We also post the spoiler-free thoughts on the season-to-be before it commences. We really apologize this time because it’s not going to happen this year. HBO’s programming president Michael Lombardo avowed to Entertainment Weekly:

“We’re not sending out press copies this year, anywhere in the world. There will be no copied for review.”

The year before, the network sent the four episodes of the Season 5 to the press for review, and they leaked onto the internet just before the Season 5 premiere aired. HBO had done this only to prevent the things happened in the past. Lombardo also said:

“It’s painful for Dan and David [when leaks happen]. When you have press copies, inevitably friends ask, ‘Can I see your copy?’ There are things that happen. We talked about the upsides and downsides. Some of the press are fans who might be disappointed, but they will understand.”

On a personal note, I can understand the step taken by HBO and I also firmly stand behind Benioff and Weiss’ decision. This is surely a smart move from HBO to ensure the integrity of the show is kept as it is until everybody can watch it at the same moment, the way it is intended. So everyone have to wait till 24th April as Game of Thrones Season 6 will be premiered that night at 9pm on HBO. Stay tuned!
