Sources reveal that Bran Stark will be making a comeback in Season 6, inspite of remaining out of the whole of Season 5. As per Entertainment Weekly, Bran was engaged in acquiring training off-screen from the Three-Eyed Raven and from the Children of the Forest.

Actor of British origin Isaac Hempstead Wright has given confirmation that he will be returning as Bran Stark and has reportedly told the Irish Examiner: “I can’t say a lot but I am back this season, and it’s going to get particularly interesting with Bran. He has some interesting visions.” The actor who is only 16 confessed that he was yet to watch Season 5 as he was busy with his school exams. Bran Stark’s return is said to be akin with and comparable with Luke Skywalker’s return as a Jedi in Star Wars.

Bran Stark

Perhaps due to the lack of material and budgetary constraints Bran Stark along with his band of buddies was kept out of season 5. Actor Max von Sydow was recast as the Three-Eyed Raven, and common sense has it that we will see Bran Stark learning to fly, rather see through the old weirwood trees.

Bran Stark would be present at the site for the Tower of Joy flashback (according to news leaked earlier) as he was a good mechanism for it owing to the fact that he has learnt to see into the past and the future through weirwood trees. As of now in the books he has not managed to master the ability, and astral projection is not a part of the book, but most definitely will be on the show.

As a possibility another option would be that Isaac Hempstead Wright would be actually playing the younger version of Eddard Stark.

All we can say is let’s just wait and watch! One thing is for sure that Season 6 beholds many surprises and the legendary twists and turns that are sure to give the viewers shocks and a dose of pure entertainment!
