Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 6 Review & Plot- Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken

Arya Stark continues her training of washing the dead bodies of the people who died in the temple with Faceless Men. She inquires Walf what do they actually do with these bodies after they are thoroughly cleaned by them, but Walf tells her that she is not yet ready to know about it. Then Arya asks him how to pass the Game of Faces. Walf tells her that she should learn the art of lying if she wants to pass the Game of Faces.

Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken – Game Of Thrones Season 5 Episode 6 Review Summary

When Jaqen H’ghar comes to testify her she tells him about she came to the Faceless Men but do not tell him the truth about a lot of things. Jaqen immediately tells her when she is lying, including the time when she told her that she hated Sandor Clegane. Jaqen tells her that she is not only lying to him but also to herself and he quickly leaves from there.

After some time, a man brings a sick girl who is his daughter to the temple so that she can die peacefully. Arya commences talking to her and tells how she was ill in the past which is a lie. Arya then gives her the poisoned water of the temple to end her agony. After she cleans her body, Jaqen takes Arya to a chamber beneath the temple where the heads of all the people who died in the temple are preserved by the Faceless Men. Jaqen informs she is not yet ready to become “no one” but she can become “someone else”.

Trystane Martell and Mycrella Baratheon take a brisk walk through the Water Gardens, and make plans to marry. At the same time, Jaime Lannister and Bronn dressed as Dornish guards enter the gardens. Bronn pushed Trystane whereas Jaime took Mycrella but they were ambuscaded by Sand Snakes: Obara, Nymeria and Tyene. Jaime and Bronn fight with them when some more Dornish guards come to the rescue and arrest both the groups. Ellaria Sand is also arrested for planning.

Jorah Mormont and Tyrion Lannister continue walking to Meereen. Tyrion tells Jorah that how he ran after killing his father Tywin in Westeros and how Jeor Mormont, his father was killed by Night’s Watch mutineers when he was on an expedition north of the Wall. Soon after some time, they are arrested by slavers, who plan to take both of them to Volantis. Maiko, their leader announces that Daenerys reopened the fighting pits for them; Tyrion asks them to take him and Jorah to Meereen. He also tells them that Jorah is a complete warrior and they can make more money from him by letting him fight in the pits.

Petyr Baelish comes back to the King’s Landing on Cersei’s plea, where he is accosted by Brother Lancel and Sparrows. Lancel notifies Petyr that the Sparrows have coup King’s Landing of all vices, and they are not going to tolerate commercial sex, though Petyr is placid. Petyr then rendezvous with Cersei, who asks him about his loyalties. He confidently tells him that he is loyal to the throne and tells her that Sansa is not dead and she is living in Winterfell. He also tells her that she is going to marry Ramsay Bolton soon. Cersei becomes furious at the Bolton’s betrayal but Petyr tells her that he has a fully fledged plan to deal with this. He tells her about Stannis Baratheon’s brewing attack on the Boltons and asks her if she can lead the knights of the Vale to Winterfell to devastate whatever is left there. In return, he tell her to make Warden to which she agrees.

Olenna Tyrell comes to King’s Landing to free Loras Tyrell form the Sparrow’s imprisonment. She admonishes Cersei that her deeds have put the Lannister-Tyrell affinity in jeopardy, but still Cersei tries to convince her that she had no role in her brother’s arrest and she also tells her that they don’t have much evidence to prove him the convict. At Loras’ holy inquisition, the High Sparrow questions both Loras and Margaery Tyrell, and they both don’t agree that Loras is homosexual. Olyvar is brought in to attest against Loras. After Loras angrily attacks Olyvar, the High Sparrow convinces them to proceed with Loras’ trail. He also orders Margaery’s arrest for lying during the holy inquisition as well. When Margaery is taken by Sparrow’s, she calls Tommen Baratheon to help her but he is too terrified by the presence of Faith Militants.

When Myranda bathes Sansa Stark she tells her about Ramsay’s ex mistresses, whom he hunted and killed with his dogs. Sansa very boldly replies her that she is not frowned after listening this. After some time, Reek comes to take Sansa to the Godswood, where she is then wed to Ramsay Bolton. After the wedding Ramsay takes her to his cubicle where he asks her to shed her clothes. When Reek tries to leave, he asks him to stand there and he rapes her, to Reek’s irritation.
