Game of Thrones Season 2 Episode 6 Review & Plot – The Old Gods and the New

Theon Greyjoy leads the raiders from the House Greyjoy to take over this fragile castle, entering in Theon makes a strong attack on some of the defenders at the Torrhen’s Square and then using the grapping claws he gain the access inside the castle. While capturing inside, he asks Bran Stark to completely surrender the place so to protect his people from any harm, taking hold of the place. Upon coming from the Torrhen’s Square, Theon captures Rodrik Cassel, while he does that he spits on Theon, to which he provoked by Dagmer Cleftjaw that as he has insulted him in front of his own men, he must be killed right here, well the killing do take place but in a very ruthless manner as Theon takes off his head right in front of the people of Winterfell. Osha the Wilding had a plan to escape from the castle with his fellows and so that particular night sleeping off with Theon, she manages to free Hodor, Bran Stark, Rickon Stark, alongside their direwolves Shaggydog and Summer and letting their selves out of the castle.

Tywin Lannister whose army camp is situated at the Harrenhal in the Riverlands plans on a filthy game plan to show his disloyalty to Ser Amory Lorch who being his allies, he delivers an important latter to the enemy instead of him. because of his inability to read properly he realizes Arya who hiding her identity being Arry who could read come into focus by him, but the very same moment Petyr Baelish enter in to have a conversation with Tywin, due to which Arya prevents herself and try to hid from him. Littlefinger has come to discuss face of the ongoing war scenario and informs him that his brother Stannis Baratheon is succeeding in coming together with the Stormlands subsequent Nobel Houses and that only House Tyrell is in the opposition and it could be a great opportunity to carry out the House Lannister and House Tyrell alliance.

Another problem arises as the royal family makes their way back to the Red Keep, as the whole place of King’s landing has turned into a chaos with refugees and starving crowed a result of this War of the Five Kings, who while their way back, these peasants and commoners insists on for help and food, as a result of this a crowd full of commoners hurl over Joffrey Baratheon the Kings and one them even throws a cow dung on to him which quite pisses him off and with an ignorance about the huge crowd that they are surrounded by and them being just few and upon that the insult of being through a shit upon him he commands to kill the people to his soldier, which ultimately results in a huge riots to be formed and makes it difficult for them to return to their palace safely, infact the High Septon doesn’t even make it and is butchered by the rioted mob.

 The insensitive and brutal actions and behavior of Joffrey of taking such nonsensical decisions, which has now caused the riots in the whole city has pissed Tyrion off and so getting mad at Joffrey who is nowhere to look upon his orders, instead is till cursing the crowed for insulting a King and still continues on to this though to have them all be killed, due to which a major conflict takes place between uncle Tyrion and nephew Joffrey who make clear of him being the king and so he cannot talk to him in such manner, to which in being a bit furious Tyrion slaps Joffrey and makes his realize that due to his action he had not just created chaos across the city but has also lost Sansa Stark in the crowed, who is their responsibility and could be put to any harm, if this takes place then, House Stark who has captured his brother Jaime Lannister would not take a moment more to execute him. but to Sansa’s fate who is lost among the crowed and is taken by some people and is almost being getting raped but s saved by Sandor Clegane “The Hound” and is bought back safe to the castle, he reply to the thankful Tyrion that he has not done it because Tyrion would appreciate it.

The small force of the Night’s Watch looking for the wilding which is led by the Qhorin Halfhand, they all come across a group of wildings, to which they kill all of them leaving just one, who falls into the hands of Jon Snow, Ygritte. Qhorin orders Jon to kill her off and continue the scouting process looking for the wildings in the mountains. Jon do not kill her and as the night falls, both Jon and Ygritte are forced to spend the night together and would carry on with the group of Qhorin who has moved further.

Daenerys Targaryen who is across the Narrow Sea in the Qarth, went for the talk with the Spice Kings as for the need to have ships so that she could return to the Westeros so to invade upon them, but this doesn’t turn out well as, he finds it a bit risky deal of investment too go ahead with as she do not even occupy a favorable army of her own, no such allied support or nothings.
