Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 5 Review & Plot- Kill the Boy

Brienne and Podrick enter the inn which is not far away from Winterfell. Suddenly they were interrupted by a servant; Brienne talks to him and comes to a conclusion that he is loyal to the Starks. She makes an arrangement to send a message to Sansa that whenever she will need help she just have to light a candle in Winterfell’s highest tower and immediately aid will come to her.

Ramsay involves in a tense conversation with Myranda in Winterfell. It happens because of jealousy of Sansa and their brewing marriage. Afterwards Myranda talks to Sansa, and shows her to the flock where Reek lives. Ramsay forcefully asks Reek to express remorse to Sansa at the time of dinner. He asks him to do so as he had killed Bran and Rickon, still being aware that he did not murdered them. Frustrated by Ramsay’s frivolous savagery, Roose declares that Walda is pregnant. Ramsay feels the territory as his own and Roose’s heir is endangered, but after some Roose assures him and asks for his help tackling King Stannis Baratheon’s brewing attack on Winterfell.

An account about the events that had happened in Meereen reaches Sam and Maester Aemon. Aemon bemoans that he is the only relative of Daenerys and now he is too old to help her. Jon enters and speaks to Aemon in personal, asking for his advice to take aid from the wildlings. Aemon utters Jon “kill the boy and let the man be born,” illustrating that he is the Lord Commander and he can take whatever decision he wants to.

After some time Jon meets Tormund Giantsbane and releases him. He asks them for a deal that he will allow the wildlings to settle south of the Wall and in reply they will aid with the Night’s Watch. Tormund tells him that most of the wildlings headed towards a settlement called Hardhome and to unite them again he should accompany him and talk to them for an alliance. When Jon tells about the deal to his men, they furiously reject it and tell him that Wildlings had killed numerous brothers and innocents people including Grenn and Pyp who were Jon’s friends and Olly’s entire village. Still Jon decides to go as per the plan.

Sam tells Gilly about his utter desire to become the Maester before joining the Night’s Watch, in the library. Stannis arrives there and asks Sam about dragonglass, which can kill White Walkers. He tells him that Dragonstone has a huge supply of dragonglass, and Sam should continue doing research on White Walkers and their weaknesses. Afterwards, Stannis tells Ser Davos that they will promenade toward Winterfell in the morning. Davos asks them to wait for Jon but he tells him that he wants to start marching towards it before winter starts. He also adjudicates to have Selyse and Shireen promenade with them as they both are not safe at the Wall.

Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 5 Summary (Synopsis)- Kill the Boy

Grey Worm survives even after being very badly wounded in the battle with the Sons of Harpy and rests under the surveillance of Missandei. But Ser Barriston Selmy died due to his wounds. Daenerys and Daario mourn the death of Barriston in the Great Pyramid and Daenerys asks the leaders of the great families of Meereen to come to meet her, including Hizdahr zo Loraq. She gave her dragons Viserion and Rhaegal one of the leaders who ablaze and eats him and the rest is imprisoned. After three days, Grey Worm awakes from his sleep and tells Missandei that how he was afraid that he would not be able to see her again and they both share a light moment of love by kissing each other. Afterwards, Daenerys talks to Missandei on how to deal with the Sons of Harpy, and Missandei marks that Daenerys has that ability to come out with a solution which no one can even think about. Missandei’s words inspired her and she quickly meets with Hizadahr in his prison, and tells him that she will be opening fighting pits again and to have peace with the people of Meereen, she is ready to marry him.

Tyrion comes to a point that Jorah is taking him through the ruins of Valyria which is a shortcut. They notice Drogon flying overhead when suddenly a group of stone men attacks them.

Tyrion is saved by Jorah from drowning and they two set a camp on a small sandbar. Jorah went to gather firewood, and checks his wrist whether he is also infected with greyscale.
