Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 3 Review and Plot- High Sparrow

Tommen and Margaery are married to each other and they accomplish their marriage. Margaery tries to convince Tommen to ask his mother, Cersei to come back to Casterly Hills for her convenience. But she do not understand and furiously decline him. Cersei, with a bluff of a caring mother-in-law, talks Margaery about Tommen’s enthusiasm at love making.

The High Septon is assailed by Lancel and some other Sparrows at the whorehouse. They all forcefully ask them to walk naked on the streets and call him a delinquent. He appealed the Small Council to take a proper acting against the Sparrows by assassinating High Sparrow, their leader. Cersei rendezvous with High Sparrow in personal to tell him that he will not be hanged to death or beheaded and she has kept captive the High Septon. And he will be designated as the head of the Faith. Coming back to the Castle, Cersei asks Qyburn to send a message to Lord Baelish and while Qyburn is writing, the body of Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane starts shaking.

Reek just walks through the courtyard at Winterfell seeing the workers working and repairing the courtyard. He was disturbed by witnessing the slaughtered dead bodies hanged up in the courtyard. Reek hears the discussion between Roose and Ramsay Bolton that they don’t have enough men to fight to save North, if the ex bannerman Stark stand against them, while having dinner. Roose informs Ramsay that only a marriage can help them make an alliance with the Stark’s.

Petyr Baelish informs Sansa that Ramsay is going to marry her and he has agreed to it at Moat Cailin. She is seen annoyed by the idea because he only killed her brother and mother but she agrees to it as it will be a very good idea to avenge her brother and mother’s death. They enter Winterfell. Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 3 Summary (Synopsis)- High SparrowThey are warmly welcomed by Roose, Walda his wife and Ramsay. Ramsay vows not to hurt Sansa, before Roose Bolton come to discuss the possible bifurcation of their strategy. Petyr also tells him that they should not have a reason to fear the Lannisters as Tywin is no more alive and Margaery Tyrell is the queen now. Roose is seen unconvinced and shows him the message he received from Cersei to Baelish. Petyr assures him of their alliance, but also asks him to read the letter sent to Baelish.

Brienne and Podrick secretly follow Petyr and Sansa. Podrick tells Sansa about the story of how he became a faithful aid to Tyrion Lannister. In the same way Brienne also tells him the story about ho she became loyal and devoted towards Renly Baratheon because Renly has showed her kindness when she was young. She tells him that Stannis was only responsible for Renly’s death and she has taken vow to kill him.

Jon the new Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, but he declines Stannis’s proposal to approve him in return for aiding Stannis take back the North. Stannis informs him that his army will be leaving from the Wall the next night to Winterfell. Jon appoints Ser Alliser as the First Ranger and Janos Slynt as the Commander of Greyguard. He made him the Commander of Greyguard which is a ruined castle which Janos must restore. Slynt do not agree and insult him so Jon ask him to capture. He pleads Jon personally but he beheads him. Stannis is watching everything without uttering a word.

Arya sees the man who has the same face like Jaqen H’ghar aids a man to drink water from the pool. When he leaves to pray, Arya comes to him and ask him to teach become a Faceless Man. Jaqen utters a phrase “valar dohaeris” which simply means “all men must serve” and blames her of only wanting to serve for her. When she turn she witnesses the man near he pool dead. He tell her that the water in the pool is poison for the ones who wants a quick death. Two servants come and take the body but they do not reply to Arya’s question of where they are taking the dead body and what they are going to do with it.

After sometime, Arya meets Walf who asks her about her identity. Arya tell her that she is no one. But Walf is seen not satisfied with her answer and starts berating her. Jaqen comes there and stops the fight between them, but Walf notices that Arya was going to attack him with a Needle. So he ask her that how she owned the things of Arya if she is no one. Arya then takes all things with her and goes to the dock and throw them all. But she hides the Needle near the rocks and come back to the House of Black and White. Jaqen then takes Arya to the room where she and Walf wash the body of a corpse.

After entering the Volantis, Tyrion actuates Varys to depart his carriage and walk down the streets. Inside the city, they see a red priestess addressing the aggregation of slaves of Daenerys Targaryen. The red priestess sees Tyrion and so they hides in a brothel.

Tyrion starts talking to a whore but he finds himself unable to have physically indulged with her and excuses himself. While urinating he is abducted by Jorah Mormont. Jorah tell him that he is going to take him to the queen.
