Lena Headey, an English actress from Hamilton, Bermuda, born on 3 October 1973 now resides in Los Angeles, California, United States and has been part of the American film industry from past 20-25 years. Earlier started from theatres began working in films in 90’s with smaller plot lines, roles and appearances and then came to be noticed with some of the big-budget films such as The Brothers Grimm, 300, reappearing again in its sequel and The Red Baron, but what bought her on a larger scale of fame and popularity was through the HBO’s Television Fantasy Drama Series Game Of Thrones and the character of Cersei Lannister.

She made her first acting performance at the age of 17 year at the Royal National Theatre which was a school production during which a casting agent saw her performance and liked it so much that she received a call for an audition for a supporting role in a film and that is how Waterland through which made her films debut and after that she went on doing lots many films in small and supporting roles with films like The Remains of the Day an Academy Nominated Film, Century, The Summer House and then went on to star the Jungle Book playing the character Katherine Brydon and the actress got some great reviews for her performances. Movies such as Aberdeen bout her the Silver Iris Awards for Best Actress at the 2001 Brussels European Film Festival, later which she starred in many films which bought her great recognition like Imagine Me & You, 300, also she starred in a televisions spin off of James Cameron’s Terminator series, by the Fox Networks, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles which also received her nomination not just once but twice for the Saturn Awards for Best Actress on Television for the role.

But it was Game of Thrones, a television series based on George R. R. Martin novel series A Song of Ice and Fire and the character of Cersei Lannister, a queen, with shades of grittiness, possessions, power and secret, this portrayal of Lena made so very famous and twice has received nomination for Primetime Emmy Awards. With popular film such as The Red Baron, Tell Tale, Dredd, 300: Rise of an Empire, she is set to have a role in the 2016 film Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
