Charles Dance was born in Redditch, Worcestershire, England on 10th October 1946, as Walter Charles Dance. Charles Dance is also known well for role of Tywin Lannister in HBO epic series Game of Thrones. He is an English Actor, screenwriter, and film director. He has two children and was previously married to Joanna Haythorn. He is known for Last Action Hero (1993), Alien 3 (1992), Game of Thrones (2011), The Imitation Game (2014).

Biography of Charles Dance

He started his career as graphic designer before switching to acting in mid- to late 1970s. He joined the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC). Afterwards in 1989 he took a title role in Coriolanus at Stratford. He got his television breakthrough in the 1984 series The Jewel in the Crown. He was also awarded the Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his services to the drama in 2006. In 2004, Ladies in Lavender was his debut film as a director and writer.

In 2011 he was casted as Trwin Lannister in Game of thrones, as a villain and for which he was highly appreciated. In the United States, Charles Dance is well known for playing villains, in the films The Golden Child as Sardo Numspa, the Master Vampire in Dracula Untold (2014), Dr. Jonathan Clemens in Alien 3 (1992), Alastair Denniston in The Imitation Game (2014). He also gave his voice in Video game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for the role of Emperor Emhyr var Emreis of Nilfgaard (English version) in 2015.
